Joining & Reporting

Placement, calling & joining letters, reporting dates and the boarding shopping list — everything a newly-placed family needs.

How placement works. As a public senior school, Koiwa admits learners through the Ministry of Education's centralised placement (following national assessment and selection). There is no online application form — once your son is placed at Koiwa, this page carries everything you need to report and settle in.

Reporting in four steps

From placement to the first day

Confirm placement & collect the letter

Check your son's placement, then download or collect the calling / joining letter for his intake year (see below).

Prepare documents & the shopping list

Gather the required documents and the uniform and boarding kit on the official requirements list.

Settle fees through the approved channels

Pay the government-regulated fees via the school's official bank / paybill details before or on reporting day.

Report on the stated date

Arrive on the reporting date with your son, his documents, kit and fee receipts. The boarding team will welcome and guide you.

Calling / joining letters

Admission and joining letters are issued by the school for each intake. They will be published here for download each reporting season.

To be uploaded: the current intake's joining letter. In the meantime, please contact the school office to obtain your son's letter. [School to provide the PDF.]

Requirements & shopping list

Uniform, boarding kit, personal effects and the documents to carry on reporting day.

To be uploaded: the official requirements / shopping list. Please request it from the office until it is published here. [School to provide.]

Reporting dates

Term and reporting dates follow the Ministry of Education calendar. Exact dates for each term are confirmed by the school.

Indicative only — confirm with the school. Current term dates will be posted here and on News & Events. [School to confirm.]

Fees & payment

Koiwa charges government-regulated fees. Fee structures and official payment channels are published on the Fees & Bursaries page.
